A Mission in Color: A 1,000 Projects for 1,000 Species to Protect Our Coasts

The Tidal Hue Project is a ❤️ heart-led conservation art initiative where vibrant marine hues meet meaning. Over the course of 1,000 projects, I’m giving voice to the stories of endangered and iconic species across our oceans, shores, and wetlands—each series a soulful tribute to their journey, wisdom, and ecological importance. "I Paint What They Can't Say", capturing their essence through color, emotion, and storytelling to spark awe, empathy, and action, one hue at a time.

Based on Florida’s Gulf Coast, this ongoing journey blends artistic expression, color psychology, and environmental storytelling to preserve what matters most: the creatures, the coastline, and the feeling of home in our coastal ecosystems.🦀🪸🦩

Project #1: The Roseate Spoonbill – Coming Soon!

The journey begins with the Roseate Spoonbill—a majestic yet vulnerable species facing habitat and food loss due to water flow challenges. This inaugural series will feature three paintings, including a 22"x29" centerpiece, translating the Spoonbill’s vibrant pink hues and resilient spirit into a voice for its survival. These limited edition prints will be available in a range of sizes, with only 75 prints total—don’t miss your chance to bring its story into your space.

A portion of proceeds from this series will support conservation efforts through a partnership with the Florida Audubon Society (pending confirmation). Stay tuned for the launch date, arriving in 4-8 weeks!

The Connection: Why It Matters

When we feel connected to our coasts, we fight to protect them. My art bridges the silence of marine life and coastal birds, "painting what they can’t say" to invite you into their world. Through each brushstroke, I translate their battles and beauty, helping you see the oceans, shores, and wetlands through their eyes. Whether it’s the endurance of a sea turtle or the joy of a Spoonbill, these stories remind us: we’re all part of the same tide.

A Voice for the Silent: My Connection to the Oyster

"As I painted the oyster, I felt its quiet strength—the way it holds a pearl within, a secret born from struggle. It reminded me that even in the deepest tides, beauty can bloom.”
