Be Still and Know
“Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10
I used to think progress meant movement. Planning. Posting. Producing. Pushing forward. But this past season taught me something different. God does some of His clearest directing in silence.
After Jeff’s chapter closed and Project #2 quietly began forming, I felt the urge to move quickly. To announce. To build. To keep momentum.
Instead, I felt prompted to be still.
Not inactive. Still. There’s a difference.
Stillness forced me to listen instead of assume. To seek instead of strive. To ask what this mission truly needed next. And in that quiet, something unexpected became clear.
The Tidal Hue Project™ wasn’t meant to rush into another wave without strengthening the current beneath it.
Impact needs roots. Faith needs obedience. And creativity needs space to breathe.
That is where the Fin & Feather Print Club™ was born.
Not in noise.
Not in pressure.
In prayer.
It became clear that if this work was going to continue honoring God’s creation with integrity, it needed sustainability. It needed rhythm. It needed a way for the mission to grow steadily while Project #2 continues unfolding in its own time.
The club is not the replacement for what’s coming.
It is the foundation beneath it.
Listening in silence does not always produce dramatic answers. Sometimes it produces structure. Sometimes it produces patience. Sometimes it produces a quiet “yes” that steadies your next step.
This season reminded me that obedience often looks slower than ambition.
But it is stronger.
Project #2 is still rising.
The next ambassador is still preparing.
And the Fin & Feather Print Club is the fruit of choosing stillness over speed.
If there is one thing I am carrying into this year, it is this:
When God says be still, it is not a pause in purpose.
It is preparation.
And I am grateful I listened.

The tide will move again.
But first… we listen.
