The Driftwood Diaries

The Driftwood Diaries

There’s something about driftwood that feels like an old friend. It’s been tossed around by the sea, carried through storms, sun-bleached, weathered — and yet it always arrives on shore with a story. That’s where the idea for Driftwood Diaries began.

When I walk along the Gulf Coast, I’m constantly collecting. Not just shells and sand, but stories. Every piece of driftwood I find feels like a messenger, whispering fragments of places it’s been. These fragments inspired me to create artwork that captures the essence of coastal life — not just what we see, but what the sea remembers.

Driftwood Diaries isn’t just about paintings. It’s about a journey: where the tides take us, the memories they leave behind, and how we carry those moments into our homes. It’s for the art collector who doesn’t just want a piece of the ocean on their wall, but a story they can share when guests ask, “Where did you find this?”

Because at the end of the day, Driftwood Diaries is more than art. It’s a diary — written not in ink, but in watercolor, sand, and sea.
