A New Year, A New Tide: The Stories Still Waiting to Be Told

A New Year, A New Tide: The Stories Still Waiting to Be Told

A new year always feels like standing at the water’s edge.

The tide is calm.
The horizon wide.
And beneath the surface… so many stories waiting to rise.

This past season, Jeff the Manatee emerged as the very first ambassador of the Tidal Hue Project. What began as a simple “yes” to painting a manatee became something far greater. Jeff carried faith, conservation, storytelling, and connection into homes, hearts, and conversations I never could have planned. Because of your support, Jeff now rests in the vault, his chapter complete, his impact still rippling outward.

And yet… the story does not end there.

As this new year begins, I feel a deep stirring. A quiet but unmistakable calling to continue listening for the stories God wants told next. The ocean holds countless lives that reflect His creativity, His design, and His care. Many of them are unseen. Many are vulnerable. Many are still waiting for their voice.

Project #2 of the Tidal Hue Project is already underway. (Get on the List Now)

I won’t reveal the species just yet, but I will say this: this next story carries themes of courage, presence, and standing firmly in who God created us to be. It is a reminder that even in changing tides, we are never without purpose.

This year, I am stepping forward with greater intention. I will be more vocal. I will make new connections. I will continue blending faith, conservation, and storytelling in ways that invite reflection, stewardship, and hope. Not because it is easy, but because obedience rarely is.

If you are here reading this, you are part of this journey. Your encouragement, your support, your willingness to slow down and listen matters more than you know. Together, we are not just creating collections, we are honoring creation and pointing hearts back to the Creator.

As we enter this new chapter, my prayer is simple:

May we notice what God is revealing.
May we protect what He has entrusted to us.
And may we never underestimate the power of a story told with purpose.

The tide is turning.
The next chapter is forming.
And there is so much more to come.

“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?” — Isaiah 43:19

Cheers to a New Year!!
